Soundscapes

Soundscapes are a key part of Camilo Augusto’s practice and exploration of new media art. Noting the unique role sound plays in his local environment, through the prevalence of noise pollution and loud music in public spaces, Camilo Augusto creates audio pieces that inspire an aura of home. Moving away from a visually-orientated conception of place, sound works as a way to stimulate memories and curate a geographical identity through a carefully composed set of sensations and vibrations.
